Australia is one of the only developed countries without constitutional recognition of its First Peoples. For 5 years, the Uluru Dialogue have been asking for an enshrined voice to Parliament, but still, First Nations peoples have no direct say on matters that affect them.
So we collaborated to create History is Calling, an integrated campaign inviting Australians to vote yes for a Voice.
Surrounding the election, we launched an awareness film in living rooms and online. OOH, print and radio were broadcast across the nation with a clear call to action: Vote for a Voice. To inspire Aussies to spread the word further, and even have some important conversations, we created shareable social videos, stickers and an interactive, educational website.
So far, Aussie’s love for the campaign has been overwhelming. The online videos have had over 25+ million impressions, social videos over 5+ million impressions, social stickers over half a million views and website traffic is up 450%.
The referendum is expected mid next year. So watch this space, share the campaign and vote for a Voice.
